    Home-Based Dog Boarding in the Scottish Borders

    A friendly family environment for well-adjusted dogs.

    At My Pet Nanny, dogs stay in our home — not in kennels. I offer licensed and insured dog boarding from my family home just outside Kelso. Visiting dogs live alongside my own Golden Retriever, my children, and occasionally a small number of carefully selected guests.

    This is a relaxed, welcoming environment best suited to dogs who are comfortable settling into everyday family life.

    Our Dog Boarding service is designed to provide your furry friend with the utmost in comfort, care, country walks, and cuddles in our own home.

    Who We’re Best Suited To

    My Pet Nanny works best for dogs who:

    • Are well-socialised with other dogs
    • Are comfortable around children
    • Settle calmly indoors
    • Walk politely on a lead without excessive pulling
    • Have suitable recall for rural walks where off-lead exercise may be appropriate
    • As we live in a rural area surrounded by livestock, dogs must be manageable and responsive when out walking.
    • For the comfort and safety of everyone in our home, dogs should not display persistent jumping, food stealing, excessive barking, or disruptive behaviour.
    • Our home is not suited to dogs requiring behavioural training or ongoing correction.

    Booking Process

    To ensure the right fit for everyone:
    • Initial enquiry
    • Meet and greet
    • Trial day or overnight stay (where appropriate)
    • Booking confirmation
    I do not offer last-minute boarding for new clients.

    Weekend & Short Stay Policy

    Weekend-only stays (Friday–Sunday) are limited and generally accepted as part of a longer booking.

    Short weekend stays are not routinely available for new clients.

    Boarding Rates

    £35 per night – one dog
    £50 per night – two dogs from the same household

    A Personal Service

    My Pet Nanny is owner-operated by Naomi.

    All dogs are cared for personally within our family home.

    We know that it’s difficult to leave them, but at My Pet Nanny we’ll treat them like they’re our own. We’re happy for them to visit us for the day or even stay overnight, so you don’t need to worry about what they’re getting up to. They’ll enjoy plenty of adventures while you’re at work or away, though they might need a quick snooze when they get home!
